Background :

Roads and Highways Engineers Association (RHEA) or simply 'SARAK-O- JANAPATH PROKAUSHALI SAMITY' is cooperative organization representing the best interest of the graduate engineers of the Roads and Highways Department. Established in a General Meeting held on the 25th October, 1984 at Sarak Bhaban, Ramna, Dhaka, RHEA has since maintained and worked in accordance with the legal framework so to being in compliance with the rules and laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Constituted to have a central office of the Samity shall be in Dhaka and its zonal offices shall be in RHD Zonal Headquarters. The Central Executive Committee will coordinate the activities of the Zonal Committees and in absence of any consensus in opinion in any Zonal Committee on any issue; the decision of the Central Executive Committee will prevail. RHEA has successfully arranged 30 Annual General Meeting so far and for the second time in 2022 a biennial convention would be held.
